My name is Chloe and I'm the cutest Yorkshire Terrier who ever lived. I come to The Doggie Den to gain some perspective... on how lucky I am. I mean these dogs are not attractive. Not like me. I guess it was just fate.
The Doggie Den is great! They seem to really love being with my dogs each day. One thing I wish is that they opened a little earlier (6:45). I also wish they had a better situation for boarding-- having someone stay with the dogs overnight and be there with them during the day. Even if they took them home. My dogs do not like staying in a building alone overnight and most of the day in a crate. I wish I could use the Doggie Den during my vacations rather than turn to a unfamiliar doggie daycare. My boys want to stay with their family. Just a few suggestions that I think would help all of your customers.
I agree with the boarding. It would be nice to be able to leave my dog there overnight but he can't handle being alone all night or how if we wanted to baord on a Saturday we can't pick him up on Sunday. Those would be nice options. I would love to see them stay open even 15 minutes later but they are open early enough for me.
Hey everyone, thanks for the comments! And Chloe sure is cute. If you don't believe it just ask her! She's our watchdog too. Haven't had a single burgler on her watch. I think it's because of her ferocious bark.
I understand people wanting their pups to have someone stay overnight when they're boarding. Unfortunately, very few places do that. If you board your pup at a kennel, in 99% of the cases there aren't any humans on the premises overnight. It would make the cost prohibitive. At The Doggie Den we have an alarm system that monitors the temperature, and, of course, smoke detectors. So if anything goes wrong, the alarm sounds in the fire department and they call me instantly. I live in Northborough about 3 minutes from The Doggie Den.
I wish we could extend our hours to make it easier on our early bird customers. Again, it would impact the cost of daycare, and we don't want to raise our prices, especially because not all customers need the earlier hours.
