Meet the Doggie Den Matron

Fern is 12 years old today! She's the matriarch

of The Doggie Den. She loves to fetch toys herself

(she'll do it for hours) but she takes her

supervisory duties very seriously. If someone

barks out of line she gives them a good talking to,

then returns to her station on the couch. When her

mom picks her up, she talks a blue streak about her

day. It's quite a scene.
